Today is my granddaughter's 3rd birthday. This is a picture of her before we left home, all grown up and ready to go shopping! I do hate it that all our grandchildren have their birthdays when we're on the road or getting ready to be back on the road.
We finally made it to the bank this morning. I had eight deposits. That's too many.
Then we went back to the Church to pick up the trailer. The Church is sponsoring a program where some students from AZ are here selling books door-to-door. They are staying at the Church. So when we got there a couple guys asked if they could shop on the truck before we left. I was standing inside at the cash register when they started coming in. I was expecting two guys. There must have been 20 plus come shopping. So we had a nice bonus sale. They wanted to come last night, but had worked too late. They even brought us a fruit cobbler.
We looked for someplace to fix the truck, but no one carries the part in their store. It takes a couple weeks to order it. We probably won't be able to get it fixed until we get home.
Don Blystone met us at the Church for our sale tonight. He always helps us anyway he can. What a blessing! This 'buy three, get one free' sale makes for some great sales. A couple people bought 12 cases of good. WOW.
We stopped at DQ after the sale. While Jim was inside, a guy stopped at the window of the truck and started talking to me. He asked if we were selling Christian books. Then he asked if could have a ride. And he wanted to know if I was afraid of him. I wasn't until then. I told him we weren't going anywhere tonight. So he just wanted to stay in the truck. I said NO. Then he started cursing me. I'm thinking he was drunk or on drugs (and of course, I don't know one from the other). Luckily he left after that, still cursing me. I'm so glad that when I ask God to protect us, I don't have to remind Him every few minutes.
