April 26 Las Cruces, NM

Since we left the trailer a the Church it was easier to do a couple errands this morning, like going to the bank.

When we got back to the trailer, we spent a couple hours putting more books on the shelves. It always amazes me to be able to empty two or three more boxes, when I thought the shelves were already full.

We were ready for our mid-afternoon meal when we got to Las Cruces. We found a Ruby Tuesday (our favorite) but we couldn't even get close to finding a place to park within walking distance. Everything had signs saying NO TRUCKS. We finally found a Subway in a shopping area. Still had to walk a little ways. And it wasn't much of a meal when you only get two a day.

Don Blystone met us about an hour before our sale. He's really great at being here for us and helping. He knows the people here and us, so he's a big asset to our sale. We had a wonderful sale. The trailer was full to overflowing most of the time. We were open about a half hour longer than advertised. About 15 minutes after that when we were packing up, another family came in and shopped.

Then to make the night even later, my cash - up didn't come out. After about a half hour of re-counting and checking everything again and again, Jim remembered that he did a refund that would affect my totals. WHOOPS! He wasn't wrong. I wasn't wrong. It's just that the right hand doesn't always know what the left hand has done. We didn't get to our motel until around 9:00.
