Jim ate a half pear for breakfast, then we got started driving. While he was driving, he ate the rest of last night's cold pizza. Great meal!
We drove the next 7 1/2 hours with two five minute stops to be less then five minutes early for our sale. That makes for a hectic day.
The road from Worland to Casper is all down hill and beautiful. I had my camera up to the window most of the way.
Most of the pictures are just mountain views, but what views!!! I like the signs that tell us how old those rock mountains are. Be sure to double click on those pictures. I've never seen anything 600 million years old before.
There were thousands of deer. One group was right by the road, but I didn't have my camera out then.
Some of the last pictures are of the clouds. We only got sprinkled on from that cloud system for less than a minute.
We were so blessed by missing the bad weather. If we would have tried to go through yesterday, we wouldn't have made it. Lots of roads were closed. Today I-80 across Wyoming was closed.
Today it was in the 50's so most of yesterday's snow is melted. I got a couple pictures showing how the snow on the NW side of tufts of grass or anything, hadn't melted yet.
After the sale, everything seemed to take forever. The motel people said on the phone they had truck parking and plug-ins. They had neither. But we parked anyway by the building and ran an extension cord to the building. the room is the smallest I've ever seen, but it's cute and nice. It even has a window seat.
The GPS tried to take us on closed roads to the restaurant, so we ended up going the long way. Restaurant service was very slow. We got lost coming back.
Tomorrow I return my truck and we get to drive together again. I drove about 2000 miles.
