We got to the park around 1:00. We drove the semi to the Visitor Center. We weren't expecting it to be several miles up a winding mountain road. Aren't caves a hole in the ground?
The cave has two entrances. The natural entrance is for the adventureous, strong and brave. We took the elevator down. That took one minute instead of an hour of hard walking.
We enjoyed the cave. I took at least 200 pictures, it was so pretty. I'll be lucky if half of them are good. It really is too dark down there to take pictures. Sometimes it was better with the flash and sometimes without.
It started out feeling cold, but before we got back, I was clammy. We took the 1 1/3 mile trail. There was so much to see.
